How do Orofar lozenges act?
Orofar is particularly recommended for sore throats associated with colds, pharyngitis or laryngitis as well as stomatitis. It can be used for the temporary relief of severe pain and discomfort caused by inflammation of the throat's mucous membrane. Orofar Intense's active ingredient, the NSAID Flurbiprofen penetrates deeply into the swollen tissues, where it stops the process of inflammation. A local inflammation of the throat leads to local symptoms (pain, swelling) and is evidence based best treated locally.
Tolerability
The active ingredient flurbiprofen contained in Orofar is considered to be very well tolerated.
It has been tried and tested as pharyngeal therapeutics for many years. Hypersensitivity reactions occur only very rarely.
Application & Dosage:
12years+:
Severe sore throat: Every 3-6 hours one lozenge
Maximum 5 lozenges a day
For max 3 days
