How does ELOTRANS® Powder work?
Diarrhoea is a common cause of a lack of fluids and minerals in our body. In order to compensate for these deficiency symptoms, electrolyte solutions such as ELOTRANS® powder are suitable. Also, take electrolyte solutions such as ELOTRANS® powder to protect the body from dehydration (dehydration). The ELOTRANS® electrolyte solution contains an advantageous ratio of glucose (sugar) and mineral salts. One sachet of ELOTRANS® powder (6.03 g) contains:
- 4.0 g of D-glucose, which promotes the absorption of mineral salts in the intestine
- 0.7 g of sodium chloride, which is responsible for the absorption and distribution of water in the body
- 0.59 g of sodium citrate, which restores the acid-base balance in the body
- 0.3 g of potassium chloride, which is responsible for a balanced potassium balance.
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of drinking water. The resulting ELOTRANS® solution provides your body with important salts, minerals and glucose. The addition of glucose promotes the absorption capacity of electrolytes in the intestine in order to support regeneration in the best possible way.
In addition to these active ingredients, ELOTRANS® powder contains some excipients, including for the taste: The pleasant tea and lemon aroma makes it easier to take - especially since diarrhoea is often accompanied by loss of appetite.
ELOTRANS® – When to take?
When you should take ELOTRANS® and what the correct dosage looks like always depends on the severity of your diarrhoea. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, you should take one to two sachets of ELOTRANS® powder dissolved in water after each bowel movement. Discontinue use after diarrhea has subsided or after 36 hours at the latest. On a case-by-case basis, both a higher and lower dosage of the drug may be required. If you are unsure, be sure to talk to your doctor.
