Application & Dosage:
• In the case of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints:
Infants and bottle-fed children
20 drops (0.6 ml) Degasin® oral emulsion are added to each bottle. Degasin® oral emulsion mixes easily with other liquids, e.g. with milk. In the case of infants who are being breast-fed, Degasin® oral emulsion can be administered before each feed with a small spoon.
Toddlers
In the case of toddlers, 20 drops (0.6 ml) Degasin® oral emulsion can be taken with or after meals. If necessary, a further 20 drops Degasin® oral emulsion may also be taken before bedtime.
Schoolchildren and adults:
Schoolchildren: 30 to 40 drops (0.9 to 1.2 ml).
Adults: 40 to 60 drops (1.2 to 1.8 ml).
This dose should be repeated every 4 to 6 hours and can be increased if necessary. Degasin® oral emulsion can be taken with or after meals, and also before bedtime if necessary.
The bottle should be well-shaken before use! To enable drops to be produced, hold the bottle vertically downwards and tap lightly with your finger on the bottom of the bottle. By holding the bottle at an angle, the rate at which drops are produced can be reduced.
The duration of use is determined by the progression of the symptoms.
Degasin® oral emulsion may be taken if necessary over a longer period. However, in order to avoid the risk of masking an underlying clinical condition, Degasin oral emulsion should not be taken more than 4 weeks in a row without consultation of a physician.
