Caring for People’s Health
Our commitment to sustainable Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and practices is unwavering. In this context we present the fourth edition of STADA’s Sustainability Report, aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. This report identifies how STADA already contributes to sustaining healthcare systems and patient well-being, while mapping out our goals for further improvement – following our vision of ‘Caring for People’s Health as a Trusted Partner’.
The structure of this report reflects the core elements of ESG, providing a comprehensive overview of how we integrate sustainable practices across our business operations around the world.

EcoVadis assesses corporate social responsibility and sustainability performance by evaluating environmental, social, and ethical practices, providing a comprehensive score to help companies improve their sustainability efforts and align them along the supply chains.

SUSTAINABILITY AT STADA
At STADA, we respect and value our personnel, investors, partners and those who use our products, the communities in which we work and the natural environment.
By conducting a double materiality assessment aligned with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we have identified the topics material to STADA and the related impacts, risks, and opportunities (IROs).
Here we describe how we manage sustainability at STADA and outline our roadmap to advance sustainability in seven strategic program areas.

Environment
For STADA, sustainability in the environmental dimension means reducing its carbon footprint and implementing resource-conserving operations within our own business and across the value chain to mitigate climate change and adapt to its consequences.

Social
Social sustainability at STADA is reflected in continuous efforts for our employees, value chain partners, and the communities in which we operate. STADA considers employee engagement, along with a safe and empowering working culture, as the key driving forces for STADA’s performance and growth.

Governance
STADA supports a culture and organization based on integrity, respect, and accountability. As a pharmaceutical company, STADA is subject to a multitude of national and international regulatory requirements. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and ethical behavior beyond is crucial for us.
GRI CONTENT INDEX
The STADA Group Sustainability Report is being conducted in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards for the fourth consecutive year. Following defined standards, we disclose details of the effects our business activities have on the environment, society, and governance – and vice versa. PricewaterhouseCoopers has performed a limited assurance engagement on selected KPIs marked with a (✓).
United Nations sustainable development goals
STADA's ESG Commitments through supporting SDGs: STADA supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and in 2021 joined the UN Global Compact. The Group commits itself to responsible and sustainable corporate governance. In line with STADA's business priorities, purpose of and values, STADA focuses on five of the 17 UN Sustainability Development Goals, to which the Group makes a relevant contribution.
