HEALTHY PACE INSTEAD OF DIARRHOEA
The new RACIBUM® is a conscious choice for the treatment of acute diarrhoeal symptoms in adults when the cause of diarrhoea cannot be treated. Its modern active ingredient quickly relieves diarrhoea but does not excessively slow down bowel movement, so it does not trigger constipation and even pathogens are free to pass.

The recommended dose is one capsule three times a day.
RACIBUM® should preferably be taken before meals, but one RACIBUM® can be taken as an initial dose at any time of the day. The capsules should be taken by swallowing a glass of water.
No dose adjustment is required in the elderly.
You should continue treatment until you have two normal stools.
Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or worsen within 2 days of treatment with Racibum®. The duration of treatment with Racibum® should not exceed 7 days.
To compensate for fluid loss due to diarrhoea, this medicine should be used in combination with adequate fluid and salt (electrolyte) supplementation. The best hydration and salt supplementation is achieved with an oral rehydration solution (please ask your doctor or pharmacist about this).
The active substance is racecadotril. Each capsule contains 100 mg racecadotril.
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, cold-swelling cornstarch, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide. The capsule contains gelatin, yellow iron oxide (E172) and titanium dioxide (E171).
