At EG, we have several MEPs who have a passion outside of work. This month, Kevin is in the spotlight: read his story below!
I started as a pharmaceutical representative at EG in April 2019. Since my first day, I have been proud to be a part of the biggest Belgian pharmaceutical company. In our firm, I’m responsible for the development of EG’s assortment in pharmacies in Limburg, part of Flemish Brabant and Antwerp.
EG doesn’t only take care of its patients, but also of its employees. This support and these attentions motivate me daily to improve myself in my job. And I also try to pass this motivation and passion to others in my private life. My friends and my family are my priorities, but I’m also an engaged soccer coach.
I have played soccer myself for 24 years but unfortunately, because of many injuries, I had to stop when I was 29 years old. Quitting the sport completely was impossible for me and when I got the opportunity, I jumped on it and I became a soccer coach. After three enriching years, I became a coach on a higher level. The next season, I was recruited to coach a team in my hometown, which I’m very proud of. In the meantime, I also received my UEFA-B certificate and I’ve been a coach for 6 years.
Als a coach, I love inspiring players and help them develop their attitude and compentencies. I learn a lot about my self and it keeps me alert. This continuous learning and evolving are a must for me: I keep developing myself on a personal level.
As an employee of EG, a lot of the norms and values are also applicable on the soccer field. Respect, disciplines and responsabilities towards EG. Giving my daily best to deliver the best results and offer the greatest quality. Advise and inspire others, but also being open towards constructive criticism from which you learn a lot. New challenges, healthy competition and daring to question yourself.
Travelling is my second passion and gives me a great dose of energy, just like soccer. I look forward to my yearly trips because I learn, taste, and discover new things. South America and Corsica were on my list for 2020 but due to Covid-19, these trips will be for next year.
This year was very special but, as a positive person, I’m enthusiastic for the future. MEP values are inspiring to me, on a professional level but also on a private one. Everything will be okay in the end!
