We are happy to spotlight our Medical Sales Manager! Peter started as Regional Sales Manager in March 2018. Since then, he has made great strides in her career. Get to know Peter better below!

What are the important milestones in your career since you started at EG, Peter?
In March 2018, I started as a Regional Sales Manager at EG. I joined the largest pharmaceutical company in Belgium with medicines that every Belgian owns. My role was to lead and supervise a team of medical representatives. The first thing I noticed at EG was the enthusiasm and dynamism of each employee, what we call the MEP culture (motivation, energy, passion) - extremely contagious & a corporate culture in which I felt completely comfortable.
In early 2022, I had the opportunity to become Sales Manager Medical. I like to compare our medical sales team to a big ship. As captain, I help set the course and need everyone on board to reach our destination. Like a well-coordinated sailboat, the medical team needs precision, cooperation and agility to successfully navigate the complex and changing waters of the pharmaceutical market. And all without losing sight of our purpose: "Caring for People's Health as a Trusted Partner."
It is the responsibility of every member of the medical team to challenge ourselves to give our best. In 2023, we launched a product that doctors prescribe to people with allergies. In this way, we brought real added value to the allergy market. Thanks to the effective communication of our motivated, energetic and passionate medical representatives, our launch was a great success.
What do you love about your job?
I like to think solution-oriented and see setbacks as an opportunity to grow. For example, during Covid19 we could not visit doctors & had to reinvent ourselves. My team organized webinars for doctors from home & kept in touch remotely. This was greatly appreciated.
Is there something that not everyone knows about you?
Sports have always had my special interest, during my youth I practiced athletics intensively. To this day, I continue to exercise regularly, at least twice a week, and I would recommend it to anyone! Besides the fun that sport brings, it helps keep stress levels under control. While exercising, I also often get new ideas or insights.
What strikes me is that sports and sales have a lot in common, especially when it comes to motivation, perseverance, the drive to learn and grow. I strive to encourage this growth mindset in each of my employees.
The past six years at EG have flown by and my enthusiasm for our purpose "Caring for People's Health as a Trusted Partner" has only grown. I have enormous enthusiasm to continue to carry it forward and allow it to flourish. There are countless opportunities ahead of us, and I strongly believe that with determination, innovation and dedication we can seize these opportunities and grow all together with EG to new successes.
