At EG, our colleagues are also called MEPs because Motivation, Energy and Passion are three elements found in each of our employees.

In addition, four values also live at EG: One STADA, Entrepreneurship, Agility and Integrity. These are lived out by our MEPs on a daily basis. We like to honor the MEPs who excel in these values. That is why the EG Award was created, each linked to a value. In addition to the 4 values, an EG Spotlight for Growth and a Spotlight for Performance were created.

Why do you think you have
won this Spotlight, Emiel?

As a recent pharmacy graduate, I joined EG as an intern within the Pharmaceutical Affairs (PA) department. From my experience in pharmacy, I also made recommendations on marketing during a project and seized the opportunities that were presented to me, after which I was able to start as Brand Manager within this extraordinary Marketing team. Both on the job and thanks to the trainings I was allowed to take, I took my first steps within marketing. By applying the knowledge, I had gained and facing the many challenges positively, I was capable of developing my products, including Magnesium EG OPTI, after which I was able to become Brand Manager myself. A very interesting journey and incredible learning experience for which I am still enormously grateful.

 

What does Growth mean to you?

For me, growth isn't just about achieving numerical goals; it means constantly striving to develop personally and professionally, exploring new possibilities and meeting challenges with an open mind. Growth is the journey itself, the constant evolution and daily progress, whether big or small. It's a mindset I apply daily to bring our goal to life: Caring for People's Health as a Trusted Partner.

 

What does your position entail?

In short, my job involves growing my own portfolio of pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. I do this by regularly analyzing the market and translating the insights I gain from this into marketing communications that I tailor to my different target groups: doctor, pharmacist, and consumer. As Brand Manager, you are also in constant contact with other departments, which fosters fine cooperation with all colleagues within EG.

What do you want to achieve within your function at EG?

My portfolio includes several products and embraces multiple therapeutic classes. My ambition is to take several steps within my portfolio to grow the brands even more. And of course, in the future I want to remain committed to our Purpose Caring for People's Health as a Trusted Partner.
