For this Day in the life, we want to put 2 MEPs in the spotlight that mean a lot to us: our cleaning team, Najib and Rachida. They are inseparable in their work and private lives. They met each other 20 years ago and started working together in 2002.
Today, they are taking us with them in a day in their life.

With Rachida, we wake up very early to start our day. At 6, we start at EG and we end our day at around 11.15.

We have several meetings planned today, so I’m preparing the first meeting room: making coffee and tea, vacuum the meeting room,…
Meanwhile, Rachida empties the dishes.

At 7.30, the meeting rooms are ready. Najib and Rachida then clean all the desks.

The working day of Najib and Rachida at EG ends at 11.15. They return home, prepare their lunch and rest for a while.
At 5 in the afternoon, their second working day starts: they go clean the offices of a bank. At 7 in the evening, they can finally enjoy their evening after dinner: they watch a movie together before going to sleep and starting a new working day in the morning.
